SONOMA COUNTY
The Iconic Wine Estate of Sonoma County
For nearly five decades, Chalk Hill has produced highly acclaimed wines led by our iconic Estate Chardonnay from the Chalk Hill AVA of the Russian River Valley. Nowhere else will you find such transitional terroir as this: nestled atop the cooler Russian River Valley, just over the ridge from the warmer Alexander Valley. Here, nature is joined by artisans of the vineyard and cellar. Meticulous attention to detail in the vineyards and the cellar, decades of clonal research, sustainable viticulture practices and a minimalist approach to winemaking all combine to produce these signature wines of character and richness that reflect this special place.
With nearly 300 acres planted to vine, more than two-thirds of the estate remains uncultivated. Wild grasslands and heritage oak forests cover the rolling hills, while culinary gardens provide a bounty of produce used in the estate’s food and wine experience.
